Tuesday, August 18, 2009 – Lauren began her first hip-hop class at “Praise Him with Dance” from 6:00-7:00 p.m. She was a little nervous but enjoyed her first practice. She came home showing me all of her new dance moves and then some she made up. Lauren was taking ballet at “Ballet Magnificat” in Jackson, MS before we moved to Atlanta.
Bradley came home from school and told us that he is in band and that he needed us to buy a trumpet by next Friday. He also informed us that the cost of a good trumpet would be $600.00-$1,000.00 and they were having a parent meeting tomorrow night at 6:00 p.m. First of all, we did not know that he had joined band, second, we didn’t know with his football schedule when he would have time to practice, third, does he think money grows on trees. We have a friend that is a band director for Middle School and asked where we could get a good deal on a trumpet and he said pawn shops or ebay. He also told us what brand to look for. This helped us so much because instead of $600.00 – $1,000.00 we paid $230.00 for a good trumpet on ebay.
