My friend and I traveled 6 hours to Mississippi Thursday, July 2nd and stayed with Kirk’s parents to pick up the kids from Mississippi Camp. It was a flying trip. We departed for Atlanta early Friday, July 3rd morning so we could be back for Mount Paran North’s 4th of July Celebration. We arrived home with 30 minutes to get dressed and got to the church just in time. After the presentation in the sanctuary, we went outside for an awesome firework display. Larry and Gina Bean called while we were at the church and said they were on their way. They arrived at our house a few minutes before we did.
The next day Kirk’s brother, Kevin, our sister-in-law, Tracy, and our niece and nephew, Breanna and Josh were coming into town for a few days heading to the Mountains for their vacation. They arrived around 3:00 p.m. and we grilled out for the 4th of July on Saturday. It was good to have family come in for a holiday. That does not happen often. This was Kevin, Tracy and the kids first time to visit us in Atlanta, GA. Larry and Gina left Saturday evening and Kevin, Tracy, Josh and Breanna left Monday. We had a lot of fun playing the wii. Our family is just a little competitive.
Psalm 118:24
This is the day the LORD has made;
let us rejoice and be glad in it.
