God was getting us ready for change. We were not looking to go anywhere and were very happy and loved the people at our church in Madison, MS. God was stirring something within us. We thought it was something to do with where we were – but it was not. Kirk and I accepted the position at Mount Paran North. I prayed that God would send a pastor to Cobblestone Church – someone that would love on those people and teach the word. God did give me a peace that He had someone special. Although I knew I had no say in who would come, God was working it out. Kirk’s mom and dad lived only 20 minutes from us and they were the Evangelism Director for the state of Mississippi. They were finishing up their tenure in this position a few months after we left Mississippi. The church voted to ask Kirk’s dad to become Pastor and he accepted. It also worked out that they bought our house in Mississippi. Now it’s weird going home for the holidays to the house we once lived in, but it is nice that we can go back and visit our family and the church we left at the same time.
When you have eaten and are satisfied, praise the LORD your God for the good land he has given you.
