Sunday, August 9, 2009, Kirk had to be at Mount Paran North early this morning because he was speaking. He did a great job as always with everything else going on at the Walters’ House. I got the kids to 9:00 a.m. service for promotion day. I thought this day was very important because it was Brad’s first day in Middle School Class & Service and Lauren’s first day in her new classes. I went to sit in the balcony to listen to Kirk speak during the 9:00 a.m. service. I held up pretty good being my first service after my surgery. Kirk and I went to the Middle School meeting following the service and got home around 1:00 pm. We ate and took a nap. Lauren finished her reading assignment for the summer and Brad went home with a friend from church. Around 6:30 p.m. Kirk took Brad to pick out a book bag while I helped Lauren start on her summer reading projects. She made a bookmark for each of the 5 books she read over the summer. Brad & Kirk got home and Brad began to do his reading journal that was due the first day of school so we thought. We finished around 9:00 p.m. and got kids in the bed by around 9:30 p.m. I got the kids to pick out what they were going to wear the next day to make our morning a little less stressful. Kirk and I were in bed by 10:00 p.m. It was another long day. The Sunday before was two days after my surgery and Kirk asked off to stay home and take care of me. It is awesome that although we were not able to go to church we had the option of watching the service live online at www.mtparan.com.
