Wednesday, August 12, 2009 – Today I picked Lauren up from school and went to pick out her hip hop costume. She asked me the day before, when I pick her up from school, if I could get dressed and not look like I had just gotten out of bed, in a sweet way of course. I guess my Red Sox cap, shorts & t-shirt was not meeting her approval. I got dressed and put on the heart earrings that she bought me a few weeks ago. It was the first thing she noticed when she got in the van. She said, “I see”. I said “what”. She said, “cuuuuuuuuuuuuuuute”. I cleaned out her closet and dresser and sorted clothes to wear each day. That is always a big issue. By the time I finished Kirk came to take Lauren to church and I took Brad to football practice. I was not happy about taking Brad to practice instead of church but we think that this is the last Wednesday night of practice and they will start practicing early 4:00-6:00 p.m. If not we will just have to miss Wednesday night practice because church is more important. Brad had a good practice he went out aggressive and ready to hit. He tackled a guy that was at least Kirk’s size. I was cheering as I watched and everyone knew that was my son. We got in around 9:15 p.m. and Kirk and Lauren pulled in at the same time.
