As I shared in one of my previous blog, the kids agreed to redecorate their rooms for Christmas. They got all their decorations but there was one thing missing, the rooms needed a little work. After our Christmas with family Bradley and Lauren went home with their Uncle Larry and Aunt G for a week while Kirk and I painted their rooms, hung curtains, hung pictures, changed their bedding and whatever else needed to be done. We wanted it totally completed so when they came home they would be surprised! The looks on their faces were priceless. They loved it! Kirk and I were so glad they loved it after all the work we put into it J Lauren’s room is a little smaller than Brad’s but she has the larger closet. You know a girl needs space for her clothes, shoes, purses and accessories! Lauren’s closet had huge doors and when she opened them it took up all the space in her room. So I took the doors down and put up curtains so it doesn’t take as much space but also put curtain hooks so we can open the curtains when she wants to watch TV & close it when I don’t want to look at the messy closet. (BTW-she saved her own money and purchased a flatscreen TV in her room.) She has sleepovers all the time so we got her a new futon that makes into a bed for her guests. We painted her room green. The canopy is something she has always wanted and she picked out her own comforter set. Brad picked out these huge Fatheads to put on his wall which we painted grey and he already had a futon in his room because he has friends over all the time playing video games. We hung his Florida Gator picture which was the puzzle we put together during December. It was a lot of work but I enjoyed the time with Kirk as we did this project together and the kids were so excited about their redecorated rooms.
