It has been an interesting journey since we have moved to Atlanta. I have been battling health issues and trying to find where I fit in. Kirk and I were in ministry together; 3 years in Youth Ministry and 5 years as Senior Pastor. Eight years making decisions together and now he is in a position where I don’t really know where I fit in the picture doing ministry with him. I struggled with this and finally came to the conclusion that this was the way it is and I need to move on and accept it. God has placed us here and though I can’t be a part of Kirk’s everyday ministry doesn’t mean that I have no purpose.
This summer as I was praying for God to show me what the next step in my life was, He opened a door for me. I have been helping Larry and Gina Bean (my brother and Kirk’s sister) with their singing ministry on the road. They took their step of faith in August 2008. I prayed one day that if God wanted me to do more for Larry and Gina’s ministry to open the door and close the doors that He did not want me to go through. I want to always be in God’s will. I prayed for specific things in my prayer time two days before I went in for my surgery and a few hours after I prayed Larry called me and asked if I would be interested in helping more with their ministry. He also wanted me to think about singing and traveling with them some in the future. I have taken on more responsibilities in Larry and Gina’s ministry and praying that God will lead me from here, taking it a step at a time.
God has also used me in ministering through my blog. I have received so many emails and God has allowed me to pray with so many people that are going through tough times. I pray that God will continue to use my blog and use me in the way that He will receive glory for all He has done in my life.
On a good day, enjoy yourself;
