My last blog as you can see was October 7, 2009…..it’s been a while. A lot of things have happened since then. So let me begin by saying something that most of you already know. God is so good! We don’t understand this thing called LIFE but what we always need to remember is that we need to Praise God in good and bad times. It is easy to praise God when things are going well but a little difficult when things are tough. I can’t wait to share with you how God is working in my life! Continuing my LIFE STORY!
Wednesday, October 7, 2009, Lauren (our nine year old daughter) got her bottom braces (appliance) today. I was expecting the worst because she is my little drama queen. Sometimes preparing for the worst helps. She was great! No complaining and for doing so good we celebrated at Sonic. She loves hamburgers! She will have to wear this appliance for about 6 months. It is to move one tooth and prepare her for a full set of braces later down the road. The next day we did get wax to put on the bracket because it was rubbing her but she did great with her appliance.
On my last blog we were adjusting to Middle School with Brad (our 11 year old son). Thursday, October 8, 2009 was a very long day! Brad still had math homework to do when he got home from football practice (football practice – 6:30-8:30pm), three pages of math but only 20 problems and a bonus page that took forever. Still adjusting to our first year of Middle School!
Friday, October 9, 2009, I had a wonderful brunch date at J Christopher’s with my wonderful husband and just spent time with him. We began having brunch dates every Friday. It works out great, we drop the kids off at school, Kirk is off work that day and we spend the day together. This way we do not have to find someone to watch the kids while we go out at night. That Friday, October 9th we picked our kids up from school and found out Brad was selected “Student of the Week” for 6th Grade. I love his outgoing personality:) We are so blessed to have wonderful kids! Thank you God for my husband and kids!
Saturday, October 10, 2009, was Brad’s Jr. Warrior Football Homecoming. It was a very cloudy day. It had been raining that morning but the rain held off until the game was over. The team went to the playoffs. We were very proud of Brad and his determination to become a better player. He loves football!
I am thanking God for the adventure in my life, without it I would have nothing to talk about! Really I grow and learn from everything that comes my way!
